Tahlia's First Birthday

These are a month late, but things have been a little crazy. On July 31st we celebrated Tahlia's first birthday, and a celebration it was. We had guests from four states and several Montana cities, Alpacas, a Bouncy House, Snow Cones, Pool, and a huge spread of food (dad spent a bit of time making 30lbs of pulled pork). Tahlia was so excited to see all of her family and friends and a good time was had by all. Barb took some wonderful photos of the party and this is just a small sampling.

Looking at the Alpacas with Auntie Shae.

Just a cute picture.

Her reaction when she realized everyone was singing Happy Birthday to her.

A little unsure what to do with the cake.

Getting it figured out.

Really got it figured out.

That is yummy cake!

Sharing a little with Livvy.

The cake for everyone.

The bouncy house was a huge hit.

There are a lot more pictures and I will try to add more later. Thanks for all of the great photos Auntie Barb.

First Trip To The Lake

We recently took a weekend trip to Placid Lake and Auntie Barb's cabin. Tahlia loved the water, but was cautious, she wanted to make sure she had a good grip on mommy or daddy while she was in the water. Barb took some great pictures, and as usual we brought our camera along and forgot to ever use it, so thank to Barb we can share some pics from our little getaway.

I went for a bike ride that morning and when I got back and saw Tahlia from a distance I thought there was a huge wound on her head. Turns out it was just a little cherry juice.

"Oh how I love being at the lake it is sooo peaceful..."

"Wait a minute, is that the paparazzi over there?"

"Ughhh it is the paparazzi, I thought I was going to be able to relax this weekend."

"Oh well guess I better give them a smile."

"Maybe one more for good measure."

I absolutely love this picture

Tahlia showing us that she is, "Sooooo Biiigggg!"

and "NEVER SURRENDER!!!!!" she gets so intense when she does this one.

First Time At The Playground

Since it is snowing here in Bozeman (yes you read correctly SNOW ON JUNE 11th!), I thought I would post some pics of one of the few good weather days we have had since August. We took Tahlia to the Dino Playground near our house and she could not get enough of the swings, she also loved seeing all of the other kids there. As usual everyone thought she was much older than she actually is.

The swing was her favorite.

She swung with Mommy...

and Daddy (I'm surprised the swing held).

Getting ready to go down the slide with help from Mommy.

I love this picture, if only we knew what she was thinking.

Help me through the tunnel Dada

This is "The Look" that everyone says she got from her dad.

Another shot of "The Look"

And we will end this post with a happy face.

Easter

We had a great Easter and were able to get some very cute pictures of Tahlia. She took some spur of the moment pictures with the mall Easter Bunny, and was not afraid at all, then she went to help pick out her pretty Easter Dress. We had Easter brunch at Nana and Papa's house with family and friends, and Tahlia as usual stole the show. She is a wonderful little girl and is loved so much, also she has successfully turned her daddy into a big softy.

A little playtime before getting ready.

It is hard to believe the she is standing and so mobile already, she really keeps us on our toes.

She likes to try and swim in the tub and play in the bubbles.

She (and everyone else) loved her little bunny ears.

Some Older Pics

We took some family photos when Tahlia was about two months old and never really did anything with them. So since we have not updated the blog in awhile I figured we can share some of the pics on here.

She was quite the little model......

That is of course when she wasn't taking a little snooze.

Amy Burkenpas the photographer did a great job with the photos.

It is amazing to look at these photos and see how much she has grown in such a short time.
